TRAB is a rental assistance benefit that provides a modest subsidy for working households with a low income, or for those between jobs. The benefit is paid directly to the recipient through automatic deposit.

To be eligible for TRAB, a recipient must:

• be below local income thresholds;
• be employed or have been employed in the last 24 months; and
• not be receiving social assistance.

Unlike other affordable housing programs, TRAB does not include point scoring and applicants are prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis.
